When Mariah Hanson started The Dinah in 1991, she had a vision: to create a lesbian world within a city. She hosted the first Dinah in the Palm Springs Modern Art Museum, packed local hotels with festival-goers, and invited national sponsors and performing artists to the event. And it sold out—Hanson and her creation have since shot to international fame, and the festival has become the biggest lesbian event in the entire world.
We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished over the years. That’s why we’re excited to share with you the latest news: The Dinah was just named one of North America’s Best Festivals.
