KEEPING US SAFE

YOU MUST AGREE TO THIS WARNING TO ATTEND THE EVENT
COVID 19 PROTOCOLS

We, like you, want life to get back to normal. But for now, it just isn’t, so we need to take extra precautions to ensure your stay with us in Palm Springs at The Dinah is as safe as we can make it. Our Covid protocol will be sent to all registered attendees throughout September and posted here. Our protocol includes the latest CDC, State, County and local mandates and recommendations.

We continue to monitor and evaluate the Covid climate and will update this webpage as we learn new information that impacts your safety.

PLEASE READ ALL FAQ’S AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT ENTRY TO THE EVENT IS PREDICATED UPON.

DO YOU RECOMMEND A COVID TEST FOR EVERYONE, REGARDLESS  OF VACCINATION STATUS?

Yes we do. If you are attending the event, we recommend you take a home Covid test within 24 hours of attending your first Dinah event. This is not mandatory but we urge you to do so. We realize as should you, that our safety measures are only as good as the safety measures taken by all of our guests. Protect your community and the event by taking a home test within 24 hours prior to your first event to insure you are Covid free. If you test positive, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE EVENT EVEN IF YOU FEEL FINE. The way to have a safe Dinah is for all of us to behave responsibly and with care for our community. Please take a home test before you arrive at the event. This test is about $25.00 for two tests at any drugstore and is considered very reliable.

DO YOU RECOMMEND USING A REGISTRATION APP TO UPLOAD OUR VACCINATION STATUS?

YES!  Please register with VaxYes. It’s free. It’s easy. And it’s private. It will enable us to ensure the process for getting you in is smooth and easy!  Please click here! Register now! Stay safe and avoid the lines! This is not a requirement, but it is a strong recommendation.

IS THE DINAH STAFF REQUIRED TO TAKE COVID TESTS?

Yes, we are mandating our staff is either vaccinated or shows recent negative Covid test results. They will have completed the Covid education training through the City of Palm Springs prior to working the event.  Our staff will check in every day before their shift to ensure they are not experiencing any Covid symptoms. We want to keep them safe, and you safe too.

WILL I BE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF A NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST OR PROOF OF VACCINATION?

Yes. But we process the two options differently so please read carefully.

PROOF OF VACCINATION:

Following the requirements set forth by the City of Palm Springs, all attendees will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of acceptable full vaccination (digital, laminated copy or original), along with acceptable Government ID (current Passport, DL, State ID Card) to gain entry to The Dinah. Your vaccine card or recent negative COVID-19 test will be accepted only if the date of final vaccination is 14 days or more before after the date of the first event you attend and must be shown to our box office staff when retrieving your event pass. Please follow the signage the says COVID CLEAR, to show proof and receive your wristband. Your wristband means you have shown us your acceptable proof of vaccination. You will wear that wristband throughout the duration of the event. If you lose the wristband, you will need to check in with the COVID CLEAR station again to show your proof and receive another wristband. Even if you are vaccinated, we are recommending you also take a rapid Covid home test within 24 hours of your first event.

PROOF OF NEGATIVE COVID TEST (WITHIN 72 HOURS OF ENTRY)

If you are electing to provide proof of recent Covid test, please note: home tests are not acceptable.  You must have received a test from a qualified testing center or lab that also lists your name. In addition, you will not be issued a wristband because your test may will expire and we will follow the protocol and ask you to take another test if your test expires. You must show proof of recent negative Covid test each time you attend a Dinah event. You will be required to take another test at your expense if the 72 hours is past the date of the next event you are trying to attend.

PLEASE SEE OF SCHEDULE OF TESTING AND VACCINATION DATES BELOW.

Please present your vaccination card or negative test result along with a photo ID. Photo results saved to your phone are accepted. Rapid testing takes place at The Airport every day until 4:30 but is very expensive.  Pharmacies have fast turnarounds and so you can test on Thursday and usually receive
results within 24-36 hours. We include a list of places you may receive a rapid test if you want to wait until you get to Palm Springs.  Covid resources

WILL THE DINAH HAVE TESTING ONSITE?

Yes, in a limited capacity for our guests who have already entered the event by showing proof of Vaccination or negative Covid PCR test. We will be providing testing onsite from Thursday-Sunday, inside the venues. There will be a small charge associated with the test. You will have to sign a waiver in order to receive a test on site that allows the testing facility to share your results with us. If you test positive at the event, you will be asked to leave the festival. If you do not want to sign a waiver, and have reason to take a rapid test, we will ask you to leave the festival and get tested at the airport.  If your off-site test is positive, you will not be allowed back into the festival. We will credit you the
amount of your ticket not used toward a future Dinah.

19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention); Within 14 days prior to attending the festival, you have travelled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19. Please be respectful to fellow guests, staff, volunteers, vendors, and artists who choose to maintain physical distancing from others. Thank you for your cooperation and patience – we can’t wait to see you! We are trying to maintain as safe an environment as possible but we need your help to do so. So if you fall into any of the above categories, stay home and be safe! If you test positive at the event, you
will be asked to leave the event. You will get your ticket rolled over to a future Dinah, when you’re feeling better.

WILL FACE COVERINGS BE REQUIRED INDOORS  AT THE PSCC AND ASIA SF PS PARTIES?

We advise all guests to wear a mask for safety.  If you have arrived and you are in need of a mask, please notify our Dinah staff, and we will provide you with a mask.  Our staff will be required to wear masks.  We highly recommend masks at least be worn in the following scenarios: If you are not fully vaccinated; . Waiting in line at the event entrances; . In line at a food vendor or waiting area; in restroom areas; and in any scenario where you might be unable to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from people.

WILL THE EVENT LOCATIONS HAVE COVID COMPLIANT CLEANING PROTOCOL?

All venues will have Covid sensitive cleaning protocols. Please find more
information here for Hilton, here for Courtyard, and here for Zoso, here for PSCC and here for Asia SF PS.

WILL THERE BE HAND WASHING FACILITIES AT THE FESTIVAL?

Hand washing facilities with soap and sanitizer will be readily available throughout the venue’s restrooms.

WILL THERE BE CONTACTLESS PAYMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE?

Yes, you can purchase all tickets on your smartphone through the Tixr website. Each venue has its own protocol for purchasing goods and services so please feel free to contact them with any questions.

IF THE FESTIVAL IS RESCHEDULED AGAIN, WHAT HAPPENS?

You will have an option to roll over your ticket to 2022 and this is what we hope you do as it really helps us to have you hang on with us if the event suffers another postponement. But we will also offer refunds if the request is received in writing 15 days after the festival cancellation to thedinah@gmail.com. Depending upon the number of requests for refunds, it could take us time to get you a full refund as we fulfill these requests though new sales but we will work to make that happen as soon as possible.
